Image, face, or world: the three ways AR tracks your print

Not all AR is the same. The tracking mode decides how digital content attaches to the real world — and which one you pick depends on what you’re trying to show.

Image-tracked

The experience springs from a printed image — a flyer, poster, packaging panel, or business card. Point the camera at the design and it comes alive. Best for: campaigns built around print you already have.

Face / body-tracked

Content follows a person — try-on effects, filters, and wearables. Best for: merch, fashion, and social-first moments people want to film and share.

World-tracked

A life-size 3D model is placed anywhere in the room. Walk around it; see it at real scale. Best for: products you can’t easily ship — furniture, machinery, large or not-yet-built items.

Which should you choose?

Most campaigns start image-tracked — it’s tied to the print you already have — and add world-tracking when scale matters. We’ll recommend the right mix on a quick call.
